Roadside Technologies awarded on CCS Transport Technology Framework

We are delighted to announce that weโ€™ve been appointed as a supplier on Crown Commercial Services (CCS) Transport Technology Framework across lots 2, 3, 5, 8b, 8d, and 8e.

This award reflects our continued commitment to delivering innovative, off-grid, connected transport solutions that improve safety, sustainability, and efficiency across the UKโ€™s transport and highway networks.

What is the Transport Technology Framework?

The Transport Technology Framework is a national framework that enables UK public sector bodies, including local authorities and government departments, to procure transport technology solutions through a compliant and efficient route.

Replacing Transport Technology & Associated Services, it includes an expanded scope around emerging mobility, sustainable transport and enablement for future developments - which supports the governmentโ€™s wider goals around smart mobility, connected infrastructure, and net-zero transport systems.

For our customers, this means our products and services are now available via a robust, compliant public-sector procurement route - and weโ€™re ready to support opportunities with the full backing of our technical, manufacturing and connectivity capabilities.

Our Awarded Lots

Lot 2: Data Services

โ€œUse of data such as network occupancy and scheduling, passenger and freight train movement, public transit schedules, passenger counting, infrastructure utilisation and rail simulation.โ€

We provide advanced data-driven solutions - from highway monitoring to sensors and connectivity infrastructure, that enable efficient management of traffic flow, vehicle movements, works and more. These include:

  • AutoTrace - ANPR captures are checked against the DVLA in regards to a vehicleโ€™s weight, allowing site managers to monitor traffic, or prevent overweight vehicles from accessing bridges.
  • Vehicle Count and Classify - using CCTV cameras with advanced video analytics and machine learning to count and classify all vehicle types within a defined zone.

Lot 3: ย Parking Management

โ€œCapabilities from service providers for outsourcing both on-street or off-street parking requirements. This includes products, software and services.โ€

Our infrastructure expertise - VMS, sensors, CCTV, ANPR and more - supports parking enforcement, signage, way-finding and barrier systems. These solar powered offerings mean we can deploy in locations where mains supply is costly or disruptive, and leave units to run year-round without the need for maintenance or refuelling.

Lot 5: Enforcement, Compliance and Security

โ€œTechnology systems and services to prevent trespassing, property damage, theft, anti-social behaviour and to enhance security. Technologies for incident safety and emergency response.โ€

From speed reduction and measurement systems to infrastructure safeguarding and hazard warning/detection, our technology supports network safety, real-time incident response, and advanced monitoring.

With proven capabilities and built-in connectivity, we help customers stay ahead of compliance, security and operational risk with products and solutions such as:

  • Low speed and high speed traffic management technology โ€“ including vehicle activated signs (VAS) and speed indication devices (SIDs), variable message signs (VMS), ANPR solutions, and more.
  • CCTV โ€“ portable, solar-powered, connected units that live stream via a secure cloud platform and benefit from optional monitoring by an NIS Gold accredited control room.
  • Zonal lighting โ€“ renewably-powered units that provide bright light in dedicated zones all year round.

Lot 8b: Active and Passive Infrastructure - Cabinets, Furniture, Storage and Ancillaries

โ€œInfrastructure and services used to connect and support the transport network.โ€

Our solutions are not just the active equipment; we supply the full fit-out: cabinets, fixings, enclosures and ancillary infrastructure for roadside deployments. Customers benefit from an integrated solution - from solar panels, pole/cabinet, comms, and more - as one package.

Lot 8d: Active and Passive Infrastructure - Traffic Management Technologies

โ€œPermanent and temporary transport management infrastructure and services for management of the network.โ€

Temporary or permanent traffic management is core to what we do: our off-grid VMS, speed reduction equipment, and connectivity solutions give customers across industries flexibility - whether for road-works, event management or permanent infrastructure.

Lot 8e: Active and Passive Infrastructure - Detectors, Informing and Communication Technology

โ€œOperational transport technologies and services.โ€

Real-time data, remote connectivity, telemetries and smart alerts - we deliver innovative solutions designed to address industry pain points. These include:

  • Zone Alert - using machine learning and CCTV to identify waiting vehicles in sensitive or high-traffic areas.
  • Dual Journey Time - giving road users multiple options through road works or diversions with real-time updates.
  • Over Height Alert - using sensors to trigger a VMS, alerting tall vehicles of an upcoming obstacle.
  • VECTA - using 3D point-cloud data to detect hazardous objects in real-time.

Why Our Approach Stands Out

Off-grid power & sustainability: Our solar and renewably-powered products support greener, low-maintenance networks, and allow for greater flexibility in location and placement.

Connectivity & innovation: We integrate sensors, analytics, machine learning, and AI for advanced insights and efficient decision-making. Alongside this, we continually invest in R&D to ensure our solutions effectively address the changing needs of our customers.

Built in the UK: From design to fabrication and powder coating, the majority of our products are crafted in-house at our Chesterfield workshop, ensuring high standards of quality control and customisation to meet customer requirements.

Looking Ahead

Weโ€™re proud to be recognised by Crown Commercial Services as a trusted supplier, and we look forward to working closely with public sector partners to deliver technology that makes a measurable difference to road safety, connectivity, and sustainability.

This framework allows us to continue doing what we do best: designing, manufacturing, and deploying intelligent roadside solutions that increase safety, streamline operations, and support sustainability. As the industry evolves toward smarter and greener transport networks, weโ€™re committed to driving that innovation alongside our customers - ensuring every project we deliver is efficient, renewable, and built to last.
