Ensuring safe and efficient event traffic flow

EXPERT TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS FOR FESTIVALS AND EVENTS

We’re regulars at some of the UK largest music festivals and sporting events to assist in not only managing the traffic outside the event, but also the people inside. Our versatile solutions offer a range of applications – for example, our portable variable message signs (VMS) can be used to guide motorists into the correct entrances and car parks, but also the footfall within the event itself to minimise bottlenecks and delays. Our solar CCTV towers are able to temporarily monitor entering traffic at key pinch points, as well as crowds or stages within an event. This enables operations teams to deploy resource where needed, or to open alternative access points and entrances to avoid congestion.

Below are a few of our products ideally suited to use within the events industry to minimise risk and increase safety at any event - available for hire or purchase across the UK.

MOBILE VARIABLE MESSAGE SIGN (VMS)

Traffic comes in not only the form of vehicles entering an event, but also the footfall entering a main site or arena. Guiding over 80,000 people into a field may seem relatively straightforward, however the reality is that it can often be a huge challenge for traffic management operatives and event support managers. Our mobile VMS, available in a range of sizes, can offer information to road users in real time to maintain traffic flow and guide vehicles in to the correct car park entrance. With fully remote control features, an operations team can change the message as necessary and react instantly to ever changing site conditions. Traffic doesn’t just come in the form of cars, it also comes as people. For those on foot, VMS can direct people to camp sites or other stages, or inform them of any relevant information.

TEMPORARY SOLAR CCTV TOWER

Festivals are often located in areas without power or communications, but having visibility of these areas is vital when ensuring approach routes remain uncongested, or that crowds are monitored. Our solar CCTV security tower can be deployed in any location with 4G or Wi-Fi signal to provide CCTV footage that streams to any internet enabled device or communications room - allowing event security teams to view live footage on the roads and entrances to the event. All units are powered by both battery and solar power to give a fully off grid, ecofriendly solution. Additional modules can also be installed to offer ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), as well as people counting or facial recognition software for more specialist security or counter terrorism operations.

JOURNEY TIME SOLUTION

Our award-winning cloud-based journey time solution shows motorists the expected delay time or conditions ahead by collecting data from a range of online platforms, calculating the delay, and updating our HD VMS every 10 minutes. This solution offers a double journey time to show motorists both time through the works as well as time via an approaching diversion. We also offer floating routes in the background to collect and work out historical data. Each route time can be displayed on our full colour HD VMS, designed for indefinite operation all year round.

SOLAR ZONAL LIGHTING TOWER

Designed as a deploy and forget unit, our renewably powered zonal lighting towers can reliably light an area all year round. Being solar powered, these units will never need fuel or maintenance, while reducing your carbon footprint, reducing emissions, eliminating noise and fuel bills. The tower’s telescopic mast can raise to a height of 6 meters, and its 4 LED light modules can be fully adjusted to direct to where its most needed. The lights can either automatically turn on and off according to the ambient light levels measured, or can be remotely overridden.
