Ideal for construction sites, highway schemes, or where speed reminders are required on a higher eye level, the SDT sits on a raised platform, easily viewable in quarries or sites with HGVs operating. Able to operate continuously thanks to a battery bank, an optional additional set of solar panels will allow it to operate indefinitely without the need for mains power.
SDT detects and offers speed feedback to drivers more than 200ft away, assisting in enforcing any site speed limit. If a vehicle passes the configurable speed limit, a SLOW DOWN module will activate, encouraging them to slow to a safer speed. The reflective speed roundel of the SDT is highly visible, and the unit’s trailer is able to be painted in a custom colour – further increasing visibility.
Being mounted to a trailer, SDT is light enough to be manoeuvred and deployed by one person, and can be operational within a few minutes of being driven in to position.
If viewing traffic flow is important on site, SDT can have a camera fitted, allowing it to stream live footage, watch traffic flow, capture ANPR photographic data of speeding vehicles, and log vehicle data in real time to any smartphone or computer via our bespoke online platform and app.
