The RHHR RailMaster speed radar gun was designed specifically for use within the rail sector, and for monitoring low speeds. The RailMaster has two settings, allowing the user to measure speed ranges between 3.0-71.9mph within shunting yards, through engineering works, or to test braking systems. Due to its low-speed detection capability, it’s ideal for measuring sites which operate forklift trucks and plant machinery. For faster objects, it also has a high-speed mode capable of measuring speeds between 72-320mph for high-speed lines. Used for testing within the rail industry across the UK and Europe, the RHHR speed radar gun has a self-contained rechargeable battery pack within the handle which can run continuously for up to 12 hours.
Our RHHR Railmaster speed radar gun is available for either hire or sale. The RHHR is a model designed specifically for use trackside in the rail industry. Fitted with a small LCD display, the user can point at a moving train, pull the trigger and it will continuously track and measure the approaching vehicle speed in real time.
The RHHR Railmaster is an effective method of measuring and enforcing speed management trackside. Housed within the base of the handle is a rechargeable battery pack which can offer continuous operation for more than 6 hours, with a recharge only taking 60 minutes. The RHHR Railmaster is built in a toughened plastic casing and is designed to withstand knocks and bangs on site. It is capable of measuring speeds in low-speed mode (3.0–71.9 mph), ideal for shunting yards, or high-speed mode (72–320 mph) for measuring trains approaching engineering works too fast. Targets can be safely measured at a distance of over 350 ft away for maximum safety, and the speeds will be shown in real time on the built-in LCD display. Users can be measuring speeds within 10 seconds of powering on the RHHR, and the user needs no training or experience to operate.
